Stirring
he soup was stewing nicely. Jantine stirred it with the spoon and smelled the onion odors. It was only morning, but she busied herself with cooking. Dinner would be ready at noon, as it should be, and it was a nice way to pass time.

The door cracked behind her and Luc came bustling in.
‘Hi Ma!’
‘Why, hello dear boy!’

‘What brings you here so early?’
‘I was done helping mister Benjamin with his dogs already, Ma, and then I thought of you sitting in the house all by yourself, and I thought I would go and see you. So here I am.’
Oh dear Luc, Jantine thought, he is still such a sweet little boy.
‘How kind of you,’ she said.

‘So how are you? All on your own?’
‘I’m growing used to it by now,’ Jantine said with a sad little smile.
‘What are we having for dinner?’ Luc had spotted the kettle and headed over to it. ‘Hmmm. Smells lovely, Ma!’
‘Please, Luc,’ Jantine said, ‘I want you to sit down for a moment. I need to.. tell you something.’
It’s nice to see that teenage Luc has no qualms about hugging his mother. I wonder what she has to tell him? If she’s arranged a marriage for him? Something about his father, maybe? Hmmm….

Oooooh, what’s she going to tell him? Has she found him a wife? Is it something about the priest? Or his father, maybe? Or maybe Robin and Frank are going to have a baby? Hmm…

Sorry for the confusion, Dinuriel! Your comment seems to have been eaten by the comment moderation link because of the word ‘teen’. Fixed that right away, because teen is a pretty common word, especially as this has to do with Sims.. I merged your two comments as I felt they both deserved to exist :)
Those are all good possibilities! Because I already know, I won’t leave you hanging for too much longer :D
