Non-story - Celebrating the first wedding!
This is all behind-the-scenes stuff, right, so I can safely tell you about the wonderful and the embarassing things that happened at Tinn’s very first wedding..
So, I played the Chapel, got caught up with time, then exited the lot to add the couple-about-to-marry, entered the lot again, put a wedding arch in front of the altar, summoned the extensive family of both bride and groom, dressed some of them in somewhat decent clothes, and there we go!

Except for some Sims dropping the ‘Watch’ action out of their queue, this went very smoothly. Everyone that watched, changed into their formal clothes which made it painfully clear that I never bother to change those. Quinten just happened to walked by so I made him selectable and put him on a bench too.
Very cute so far. (The kiss wasn’t correct, ofcourse, since he’s just a teen. *facepalm*)
Oh, by the way, this is Thalia Baker and Noah Meadowsweet marrying.

When the knot was tied, some happy mess ensued. Everyone talked with everyone (not everyone got along smoothly), and I made it a point that the bride and groom would get to know their parents-in-law. Katherine Meadowsweet, in the foreground, is just happy her son finally married.

It was then that things started to get a tad more intimate. Geofryc Baker told his son-in-law (with a fatherly wink, I’m sure) he was expecting little babies soon, and it was not long before Mary Lewis decided *gasp* that she really, really liked Martin Baker and was craving for some loving and she really, really had to ACR about RIGHT NOW.
*headdesk*
I loved it. Unfortunately, I have no picture of it. Even more unfortunate is that, after all these wonderful things happened, I remembered to save. It took suspiciously long, I went downstairs and when I came back, the computer apparently had errored and rebooted and the wedding was down the drain.
Gah!!
Positive point is that I only have to play the actual wedding again, because I saved to add the couple. And it’ll be fun, all over again. And I can actually dress them up in formal properly.
I hope it will be even more fun.
The next Simday, the first of Summer, there’ll be another wedding: Robyn and Frank’s. I wonder what will happen then! :D
“Katherine Meadowsweet, in the foreground, is just happy her son finally married.” But…he’s only a teen? O.o

Yes, he’s a teen. As this is a medieval ‘hood(and I want to speed up things a bit) I will marry most couples as teens. Inteen gives me that opportunity when they are 7 days from adulthood. At that moment they are 20 Simdays old, and if you count a Simday a year, that seems fairly reasonable to me. Some people (mostly nobles) would marry even younger.
The word ‘finally’ seemed perhaps a bit odd.. I added that for flavour. Hehe. ^^
Thank you for commenting and welcome to Tinn, Gastfyr. :)

Oh, I hate it when I forget to save. I remember playing a season with a family and not saving for the whole season (I’m stupied) . it’s just so irritating when you have to play it again.
The ACR sounds pretty intresting, I think I will try it.

I hear you.. Especially when the lot is slow! You keep thinking, “I’ve been here before..”
People say it makes their Sims really slutty. I don’t have that experience. My couples are going at it every now and then, and I adore it when they are flirting autonomously. But the teens would rather hit eachother with a pillow, even when they’re on -24 hours and should be wanting to jump anyone. *facepalm* I hoped that they would choose their lovers, but so far they don’t.
Except for little Mary Lewis.. She’s the daughter of the priest, for heaven’s sake xD And I have to stop Robyn making a booty call every now and then, lol. I guess you just have to focus on other things and next thing you know, they’re all over eachother.
Thanks for commenting! I don’t recall if you’ve commented before at the moment, but anyway, welcome to Tinn :)

Aawww! I loved the wedding! See? I told you your stories are just brilliant! I LOLed at the bit where you said “And I can actually dress them up in formal properly.” and then crossed it out! I can’t wait until Robyn and Frank’s wedding! ;)

Thanks, Una :D Their wedding shouldn’t be too far away!

I thought it was Robyn and Franks wedding there for a bit. I love seeing what Sims do when they are on freewill you can get a real insight into their characters. Can’t wait for the next wedding update

Haha, had you fooled for a second there did I? :D
I love freewill. And I love it even more when they do interesting things!
